Join UrbanGlass for an afternoon of glass, pattern, and optical twists with artists in their glass studios. Watch demonstrations in glassblowing, neon, flame working and stained glass. Activities will include:
Glassblowing Ornaments (Age 11 and up):
Work one on one with a teaching artist to make your own ornament in a glassblowing studio. Optical twists and color will make your creation a festive decoration for the holidays.
Beadmaking (Age 11 and up):
Learn about making your own beads with a torch in their flameworking studio. Instructors will guide you through the process, utilizing pattern, color, and texture in your own unique design.
Kilnforming - Cookie Coasters (All ages):
In this activity, you will learn about how glass can be fused, making your own coaster by assembling a beautiful glass composition.
